Hi.

Can anyone tell me how does Oracle search for the FORMS60_PATH key in the Windows Registry? I have to develop a program by which the value of the FORMS60_PATH key should be altered. But by no way I can conclude where the key will actually be stored. In my machine the key can be found in the root node itself i.e., HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE. But in some machines it is located in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\HOME1.

One solution is I have to scan for the entire keys under the Oracle node in the windows registry.

Can anyone help me out in this case with any other solution ?

Thanks in advance.

Your solution of searching appears to be the only one.

But WHY are you doing it? I feel that this is an issue of design and needs to be solved in a different manner.

Give us some details about your problem and we'll see if we can come up with an easier solution.
