I have tried bar code reader in another language and ther's no development kit needed. The bar code reader writes date where your cursor is.(eg. textbox)

What the prior poster is saying is right on. BarCode readers and other devices use what is called a KEYBOARD WEDGE. This device (part of the device or its cable) make the device appear to be a keyboard doing simple data entry. As such, whatever field your cursor is positioned to, it gets the simulated keystrokes.

many devices work this way. Sometimes you have to plug them into a keyboard that has slots to accept these devices, othertimes not. It all depends on the device.

Good luck, Kevin
